Weirdly enough, I'm the exactly other way around. Can't get into Galmet because of the vocals, but don't mind Ryoji's and find they compliment the guitar work nicely (for me!).

GYZE's harsh vox are pretty innocuous. They don't really add or detract to me.

Half-way through and I'd say the album is solid. It isn't blowing me away as much as I'd like, so for the time being I'll probably score it a 3.5/5. That could improve with future listens, esp. since I'm not really in the mood for this atm and I usually don't enjoy things much on the first listen. I probably prefer the new Serenity to Murder over this (by a hair), but this is better than the new Ghost Cries.

Production is certainly easier on the ears and there's no metalcore dumbfuckery to be found, thank fuck.

This is funny, I played the new album earlier today and kinda disliked it. I'd probably rate it a 5/10 now - it just bored me, production sucked, seemed really generic, etc. It didn't do anything for me at all and any of the earlier plays didn't either. I'm temped on dumping all their CDs.

I'm going to play it again in a bit just to affirm to myself that you're wrong. Wink

I nearly sold off Black Bride when I received it. Hell, I'm not even sure how much I liked the debut. Something just seems "empty" with the new one, I can't quite explain it. I should *love* this album, but it didn't do jack shit whatsoever for me.

This isn't a "sick of metal" or whatever thing either, I'm playing that latest Ghost Cries and am enjoying it far more.

Eh, I wouldn't buy their first two in a million years, but the third one is very good overall imo and sheds the faults of the old work.

The music on the second one wasn't bad, but you'd never know it due to the inappropriate wall of distortion.

I can't quite figure out what's wrong with the new one, but man I flat-lined on this one hard. Maybe I didn't find any of the songwriting interesting, dunno. I have the sinking feeling neoclassical metal in general gets old after awhile. Same goes for shred.
