question: do you hear a weird squeaking noise in the background of the Hiroshima Mon Amour cover on the bonus disc of After the Double Cross? Maybe I just got a crap pressing...

I haven't yet checked out the bonus disc, but I'll let you know how it goes later today. Which version do you have?

So Painkiller — am I understanding correctly? Latter day Concerto Moon is starting to grow on you?

It actually is. Maybe it's because of specific albums really having an edge to them, but I will still always prefer the first three Concerto Moon albums. At the very least,. they are a really consistently good band. I just think that while they had Takao Ozaki aboard, there was more of a magic to them, but the later stuff isn't too shabby. One drawback is that there are less songs in Japanese since then.

Okay, I need some help on deciding which version of Rain Forest to purchase.

I'm all about bonus tracks, so I'm leaning toward this 2CD version here: https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Co...est/597531

Do these bonus tracks appear anywhere else? Or are they exclusive to this version?

I could do the research on my own, but I'm a little under the weather today, so I'm reigning in my OCD to try and get some rest.

That version of Rain Forest contains all of the songs that you'll find on the Time to Die EP. "King of the Judas" is a great song. Feel free to pick it up. I have the standard version.

Yeah, a good completist should really buy the Time To Die EP as well, surely? Wink

I own the EP separately. It's pretty cheap. Big Grin

The self-titled EP from 2004 is also really cheap. A used copy is barely even five dollars...
