Trailers and all that good stuff will follow as they become available.

Interested to hear in what direction she takes her music. Guess it's gonna be a waiting game until we get a trailer or whatever.

You missed Destrose on her list.

Although, I guess it's easier to only bring it up for women who were never in Destrose. Wink

Like Disqualia, this thing is pretty overpriced for a 2 song single (1620 yen). I guess it has 2 instrumental versions (I hate it when those things double the price though). I'm gonna want to hear a trailer or something before pre-ordering.

Same here. I'm not terribly intrigued honestly. I would have prefered for Disqualia to keep developing personally.

What we'll probably get is Around the Nation 2.0. Gonna guess Disqualia had some infighting or something.

I definitely agree it's not an automatic buy, I do have several Ibuki-related releases, but it's generally stuff that I like rather than go nuts over.

By the same token, if she got a songwriting partner that could boost the quality of the material, she's certainly got the vocal chops to turn out a good release.

I got Around the Nation about 6 weeks ago and have maybe given it 5 or 6 listens, there's one excellent song on there (I'm terrible with Japanese titles) and the rest's solid. Which is kind of what I'm expecting for this new project, but we'll see.

I know not everyone agrees but for example I really liked Rami's solo release, so I don't care if Ibuki chops and changes who she collaborates with - mix it up, I say.

The thing that separates Ibuki from Rami is Ibuki actually writes all of her own stuff. I'm not too familiar with the guitarist (I think its the guy from Vorchaos). If that's the case, not sure what to expect here - they have good guitarwork, but are so not my thing (I have their CD for sale on ebay Tongue)

I tend to dislike solo projects, so I'm a bit unsure here - esp. since I don't know the rest of the band. Like having the guitarist do the bass and having programmed drums in unacceptable to me. At least Around the Nation felt like a band (well, until they started losing members).

We'll part of me wonders if Ibuki might be the new Mina, with Around the Nation and Disqualia splitting up in fairly short order (I don't count Art of Gradation as she was barely in that).

But a) band relationships in general are fricking awkward at the best of times and b) I have absolutely no way of knowing how diva-ish (or not) she may be. She's still performed with less musicians than Yngwie, right?

The official statement was that Ibuki and the rest of the band disagreed on the band's direction.
