Fuck, my brain ain't working today. Laugh I knew it was a matter of time until I mixed up those two bandnames (and I hate Theater of Tragedy).

I like the new tracks off "With Love in My Heart", there's some insane drum-work on there. Which is what you get I guess when you have a drummer as the bandleader.

The duet re-recording of "生きとし生けるもの" with Yasuo Sasai adds absolutely nothing to the original.

MCD turned out to be better than expected. I don't like the drum sound or production, but otherwise this is fine.

Not sure the re-recording of Departure was needed, but the duet version wasn't bad.

Probably should get on that 2CD compilation tonight too.

The 2CD compilation is definitely worthwhile. Well, I guess it might not be as cool if you have every single one of their old demos/singles. The only thing I have before the first album is "Time Is." The first disc has a couple of old songs on it, but most of it was totally new to me and also very cool. The second disc is more pointless, but the three songs on there that were unfamiliar to me were worthwhile. So I basically got about an album's worth of "new" songs that were all pretty good. The only one that didn't do anything for me was "The Last Season" since it's a ballad in Engrish. Also, I don't have any production complaints. It all sounded good to me, but I guess some people might not like the snare.

Oh yeah, I forgot to comment on "With Love in My Heart" yesterday. The production/mastering is kind bad on that one unfortunately. Nothing dealbreaking, but it would have been better if it just sounded like Reminiscence. The two new songs (the title track and 'Greatness') are both really good and among the most progressive the band has ever done. The two rehashes are kinda pointless unfortunately. Still, I can't really complain about two new Mahatma tracks.

Both of the bonus HMV DVD-Rs were basically interviews and stuff, so I didn't really bother watching them.
