Ordering General Discussion
Yeah, I'll post my thoughts on them in that news thread. Missing Paradise Lost and Requiem are the main reasons I bought all these (plus the new reissue of In the Night doesn't have that awful country song at the end of it). Flipping the old ones shouldn't be too hard, I hope.

If I like the 2018 reissues more than the 2011/2013 ones, I'll replace all those old ones I bought. I never liked papersleeves much anyway. Better than digipaks though.

Sounds good.

I was glad that No Remorse Records still did a jewel case version of Heavy Load's Stronger than Evil, which was never officially released on CD, aside from the very limited Japanese pressings.

Digipaks I don't care about, I just hate ordering them and will avoid them at all possible. At least with papersleeves I don't have to worry about them arriving with smashed spokes or the booklet-holder arriving torn.

I know that I would avoid ordering those as much as possible nowadays. I know it's superficial, but I didn't buy Manilla Road's The Blessed Curse for that very same reason, yet I got shamed by someone for the choice of packaging that a label made. It's not like I don't support the bands, but that I just don't like digipaks, and I want more options. Metal Blade Records also fucked up Cirith Ungol's Paradise Lost by making the CD only available as a digipak — unless there's now a jewel case pressing that I'm not aware of...

The Blessed Curse arrived with a torn booklet holder for me. It wound up in the trash cuz there's no way I can sell something like that.

I must thank qpr here for pointing out how fast airmail through CD Japan is here. My experiences have been excellent.

Never ending story with the german custom ended today.

They hold an parcel for nearly 14 days. WTF?!?!?
Got an notification about 2 weeks ago to declare an parcel from Japan (Buyee).
Went to the custom office to do the declaration by myself and got an friendly "I don´t believe you, this is a fake invoice".
Wtf. I´ve got the paypal invoice and he didn´t believe me.
He told me he searched the internet and found it for 7000 Yen on amazon.
It´s the Denkare - Red Box and I´ve got it for cheap on yahoo auction.

So I went again to the office a few days later to show him the auction page but as he couldn´t read it he didn´t believe me again.
He just trusted amazon and thought this is the real price.

So today his boss was back after an sickness and I went straight to him.
After 5 min. I´ve got my parcel and everything is fine.

This clerk was the stupist guy I had ever meet, what a jerk.
He was really pissed off that I´ve got my stuff.

German custom, the best thing in the world.

So he actually saw you leave with the package? I'm not going to lie, I enjoy that part of the story.
