foobar2000 custom - everything is keybound, so the interface is quite minimalistic.

Basically you just have to download any new stuff to the player via USB port. They've since come out with newer versions of the X5 though which look a lot shinier and hopefully they've fixed the interface.

I've got my whole library on there and there's a basic music player on it. Only problems I have are (a) it recharges from the phone, so it burns through the battery pretty quickly; and (b) the Lightning connector disconnects if you jolt it, so you can't really use while walking. I have to sync an iTunes playlist for that.

Wish there was some more reliable storage method, but my phone seems to be dying on me of late, so I may switch to an Android and just add memory.
