Versailles - Lineage〜薔薇の末裔〜
I never really liked album covers with band photos on them. As for the editions... I wouldn't be surprised if the retail edition won't come out immediately after the Budokan gig.
I don't mind instantly buying this because that's my plan anyway. I just can't exactly hop on a plane to get the limited edition. You know it will be expensive as fuck if you try to nail it on auctions.

Same here. It just feels kind of lazy and unoriginal. I realize it's kind of to be expected in the Visual Kei movement, to show off the band's flashy wardrobe, but that just brings us back to the discussion about how I'm not really a proponent of the attire as much as the music.

Also, is it just me or does Versailles in particular seem to have better cover art for some of their singles than the actual albums those singles appear on? Like with Jubilee, the cover art is alright, but take a look at the Ascendead Master single's artwork and tell me that doesn't look so much cooler. Or the self-titled compared to the Rhapsody of the Darkness single.
The only cover art I liked was the limited edition of their self-titled. 'Lyrical Sympathy -Live-' was alright too. But you're right, the singles are better on average. I kind of liked the one to 'Philia'.

Jubliee's cover is awful though, ugh. Yeah their singles have better cover art in general.

So, I've got to wonder just when we're going to get a single, seeing as the release date is less than a week away. I was hoping someone who went to one of the European shows would get some footage of the new songs (they've apparently been playing Inheritance and Lineage), but no luck.
I would be surprised if that happened honestly. They already released ~2 minutes for each song which is quite a lot.

I would have gone to the Cologne show had my hospitalization not happened. But I've been told Versailles is pretty strict with not allowing photos and filming at shows. It's not something you can completely ban with the current smartphones though, so maybe something slipped through the cracks...
Man, that blows.

Anyway, we've got some more news.

Google translate says "How about gifts for descendants all over the world who could not come to the venue?" and then it proceeds to list a price of 2,500 yen for the regular edition of the CD. I guess that pretty much confirms that the sixth song will be limited only to the venue, but at least the regular edition should be available in stores. Hopefully HMV will list it soon.
